Infrastructure & Energy

The nature and location of future development will make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gasses and helping climate change. The Government’s commitment to an 80% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050 will only be achieved through the introduction of new and more sustainable forms of power generation and innovative and energy efficient buildings.

The planning system is responsible for facilitating the delivery and procurement of new energy projects and also regulates the location and form of new development.

HOW Planning has experience of delivering a number of infrastructure and energy projects on behalf of clients including underground gas storage, feasibility studies for wind farms, energy from waste and pipelines; often complex projects with a range of technical and environmental issues.
