Plans for New Flintshire Retail Scheme
HOW Planning has successfully secured planning permission on behalf of Hollins Murray Group, for a new retail development in Flint Town Centre.
Plans include four units totalling 3,584 sq.m of retail space on a 1.4ha brownfield site which lies between Flintshire Retail Park and the retail core. It is anticipated the scheme will create between 90 – 120 new jobs.
Says Keith Jones, Associate at HOW Planning: “This site is currently used as a surface car park and approval of this application will bring it into productive economic use. The site is in a prominent location, within the Town Centre and just a short walk from Flint’s retail core so will enhance customer choice in the area. The proposed development will contribute to the ongoing regeneration of Flint”
Working with Leach Rhodes Walker, who have designed the scheme, HOW Planning submitted a full planning application which included all vehicular access, landscaping and 121 car parking spaces.
