New Plans for Newton le Willows
House builder, Taylor Wimpey UK has been granted planning permission for a new residential development on land at Common Road in Newton le Willows, Merseyside.
Manchester based consultancy HOW Planning has secured detailed planning permission enabling the delivery of 142 high quality family homes within an attractive landscape setting.
The planning application was submitted in full to St Helens Borough Council, following community consultation and liaison with Council Officers and the site layout reflected feedback generated throughout the process.
Says Isla Longmuir, Senior Planner at HOW Planning: “Taylor Wimpey’s development provides a great opportunity for St Helens Borough Council to address their immediate housing shortfall. Now that it has been given the go-ahead the scheme will be delivered providing much needed new housing for the local area.”
The 4.87 ha site occupies a highly sustainable location within walking distance to local shops at Earlestown town centre and Newton le Willows and the development will comprise 142, three and four bed homes. Planning permission includes site access arrangements as well as the detailed site layout to include housetypes, landscaping and public open space.
