Mixed Use Regeneration Scheme

Plans have been approved for a new mixed use scheme on land fronting onto Ordsall Lane in Salford. Approval of the planning application, which was submitted by HOW Planning on behalf of MMGG Properties Ltd, paves the way for a new development comprising a combination of residential and employment uses.

The site will be divided into two parcels allowing MMGG to develop 142 new residential units on the land fronting onto Ordsall Lane whilst retaining the land at the rear of the site for the existing employment uses.

The brownfield site is part of the Ordsall Lane Riverside Corridor, an area which has been identified for regeneration to create a vibrant mixed use area comprising residential, commercial and leisure uses. The plans will create active street frontages to Ordsall Lane and South Hall Street, improving the local environment and contributing to the ongoing regeneration of the area.

Approval of the plans by Salford City Council signifies a major step forward for MMGG Properties who will not only be rejuvenating what is an outdated site but will be providing much needed new housing and supporting employment in the area.
