Legacy Development

HOW Planning secured full planning consent for a residential development on land at Home Farm in Skelton, North Yorkshire. The plans will transform the site, which is owned by Wharton Estates, into a high-quality residential development intended to leave a lasting legacy in Skelton.

The development will be built to the highest quality standards and incorporates a generous amount of public open space and landscaping. It will transform what is a vacant and under-used site into an attractive new development, meeting all expectations and ambitions for the area.

The 1.6ha site is located in the centre of Skelton and has been occupied by a number of derelict farm buildings which no longer serve an agricultural purpose. Plans for the site will see the redevelopment of the site to provide 47 new homes built to the highest standards with access, parking, landscaping, open space and associated infrastructure. It will contribute positively to the character of the area and has been welcomed by the local community as an attractive addition to the area.
