Foxdenton, £100m Business Park & Housing Development

Acting on behalf of Foxdenton LLP, a joint venture between North West-based Seddon and Oldham-based Grasscroft Property Company, HOW Planning secured approval for a hybrid planning application for a £100m new business park and housing development in Chadderton, Oldham.

The plans will transform the 49 ha Foxdenton site into a sustainable new development combining both employment and residential uses. Plans propose 65,030 sq m of office, light industrial, general industry and warehouse uses, as well as up to 500 new homes, creating a sustainable and thriving community.

The Foxdenton site has been recognised as a sustainable location for both employment and residential uses by Oldham Council and its development will not only promote a healthy and balanced commercial and housing market but will also stimulate sustainable regeneration in the long term.

The scheme has been developed with extensive community consultation with local residents, businesses and key stakeholders. The proposals are expected to create more than 1500 new full time jobs at the site once it is completed. In addition, the construction phase will provide 165 construction jobs annually.

HOW Planning has provided planning and environmental advice to Foxdenton LLP which included the project management of the application submission and the preparation of an Environmental Statement.
