Coppull Enterprise Centre

Having secured outline planning approval on part of the site in 2013 for up to 49 dwellings, HOW Planning, on behalf of Miller Homes & Tatton Settled Estates, secured a resolution to grant full planning permission subject to Section 106 for an extended site area of 1.99ha (4.98 acre) on land adjacent to Coppull Enterprise Centre in Chorley.

Plans for the development incorporate 75 family homes with an element of affordable housing and high quality public open space.

The site, which is located directly adjacent to the Enterprise Centre, was previously used as overspill parking, but as a sustainable brownfield site which is situated within the Coppull Settlement Boundary, it was vastly under-utilised and received outline planning approval for a new residential development from Chorley Borough Council in 2013. Since securing outline planning permission Miller Homes has worked with the land owners with the view to develop the site.

The high quality housing development has been specifically designed to complement and enhance the existing Enterprise Centre, which is a Grade II listed building.

The vision for the new housing scheme is to deliver a sustainable development on what is a derelict brownfield site. The scheme will include 2, 3 and 4 bed homes in a combination of designs, including detached, semi detached and mews properties.
