Chesterfield Regeneration Scheme

Acting on behalf of Chesterfield Waterside Limited, HOW secured planning permission for a £300 million pound mixed use regeneration scheme in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

HOW were first appointed in 2007 by Chesterfield Waterside Limited to act as lead planning consultant for a major mixed use regeneration scheme planned for a 33 hectare site known as Chestefield Waterside, located adjacent to the A61 corridor in central Chesterfield.

The site is now identified in Chesterfield’s adopted Local Plan Core Strategy as a major regeneration site which HOW promoted through the Local Development Framework process.

As lead consultants, HOW also co-ordinated a detailed Outline Planning Application together with an Environmental Statement which gained approval in March 2011.

HOW have recently secured Reserved Matters approval for the first residential application at the site and are currently working with Officers to discharge relevant pre-commencement conditions so work can begin.
