Cheshire Business Park

Having originally secured outline planning permission to convert an area of land at Cheshire Business Park into residential use, HOW Planning also went on to secure reserved matters planning approval on behalf of Barratt Homes.

Cheshire West and Chester Council gave approval for the site layout, scale, appearance and landscaping for a 4ha (9.88 acre) residential scheme to be developed on an area of land within the business park which is located in Lostock Gralam near Northwich.

Barratt Homes’ plans incorporated a high quality residential development of 119 family homes, including 35 affordable homes, with construction of the scheme creating up to 178 direct and indirect job opportunities.

The scheme was developed in close consultation with the local community with a successful communications campaign demonstrating a strong level of support. The new homes and amenities which will be created through the development of this site will have a positive impact on the area providing many benefits to the local community including, job creation, a woodland play area and a contribution from the Governments Homes Bonus Scheme.

On behalf of Marshalls CDP HOW Planning has also delivered a second outline consent for a further 5ha of residential development on the site which was granted permission in July 2013.
